Who am I?
I am a humanistic integrative counsellor and a pre-accredited member of IACP (Irish Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy).
I am based in New Ross, Co Wexford.
My wish is to help you to learn how to tolerate suffering and to trust that you will survive it. The journey is often slow and challenging as we sift through the hurt and the pain, but we will take it one step at a time and even one breathe at a time.
So often we come to identify with our suffering and lose touch with who we truly are. My mission at Willow Counselling Wexford is to walk a while with those of you who are feeling lost and alone in your life at present, to be a supportive presence while you pause and explore whatever it is that is causing you to suffer.
We all suffer at times. Suffering is part of the human condition. Learning to care for ourselves while we’re suffering is often the first step towards healing. Healing allows us to reset, rebalance and realign with who we truly are.
Willow Counselling offers a shared experience of coming together to create trust and safety in order to help you reconnect with your own internal power and resources, to enable you to live your life on your own terms and to walk your own path through this world. Willow Counselling is respectful and confidential and values individuality and diversity.
Our first meeting is an opportunity to welcome you and allow you to experience how we might work together going forwards. It is also an opportunity to ascertain if this service is right for you, taking into account your needs and reasons for seeking counselling at this time in your life.
I am keenly aware that any decision to engage in counselling needs careful consideration, commitment and dedication to stay the course especially when life is intense and difficult to tolerate. It takes patience, courage, self-compassion, encouragement and support to allow yourself to be brave and vulnerable at the same time. Rest assured you will not be alone in your journey.
